Markham Fair is on again after a two-year hiatus. There is fun for the whole family at the 178th Markham Fair!

Here’s what you need to know about this years Markham Fair including special events and entertainers, where to get tickets, prices, hours and other key information…

Rides and Entertainment

The Midway offers rides and games for all to enjoy. Thrill-seekers can get some good old-fashioned adrenalin on the 20+ rides, including classics like the Ferris Wheel and Merry Go-Round.

The Entertainment Tent features contests for the kids, like the Children’s Pet Show on Friday afternoon, Teen Talent on Friday night, the Baby Contest on Saturday morning, including family-friendly shows to entertain the little ones daily. There is great family entertainment to be seen around the grounds at this year’s Markham Fair. There is free face painting Saturday and Sunday afternoons by the ever-so-talented Picasso!

Be sure to make some time for Friday, as the President’s Choice SuperDogs will be showing their skill and ability at the Friday Night Show (4 pm, 6 pm & 8 pm), and remember the SuperDogs will have daily shows on Horse Drive.

Multiple stages across the fairgrounds will have live music throughout the day, but the main music event each night takes place on the Crow’s Corral stage.

Endless Attractions

All ages will be in awe of the Largest Outdoor Monster Truck Madness with Freestyle Motocross FMX. There will be cars crunched, bikes doing tricks you don’t want to try at home, pure excitement that will only be on Sunday night! Cruising around the Markham Fair with strollers on the paved and dirt roads has memories in the making, but why not take a ride on a pony?

Four action-packed days that will have your children moving out in the community. Be sure to get there early, and that should not be a problem with free parking at the Fairgrounds. The ever-so-popular Nick Jr. Paw Patrol will have some pups attend the Fair to meet and greet fans on Sunday, October 2nd.

Food, Food, Food

A wide variety of treats and snacks are on offer throughout the grounds. In addition, our community group food buildings and food trucks are also returning to the Markham Fair this year. Enjoy a wide variety of fare from food vendors as well as beer and wine in both the wine and beer tents.

Agriculture

Have your children come face to face with farm animals at Old MacDonald’s Barn, whether it is a Clydesdale Horse or a baby chick. Your children will be able to experience farm life with a vintage tractor display! Be sure to hang around to see a sheep being sheared or a cow being milked! And be prepared to be amazed by the Heavy Horse Pull or 6 Horse Hitch entertaining young and old with grace and precision.

At The Agri-Food Tent, meet from farm to table chefs, learn about the trends in Canadian urban agriculture, and try your hand at farming.

Daily Fireworks at Dusk

Don’t miss the finale: every night at dusk, Pyro Mario will illuminate the sky for the spectacular fireworks show above the track.

Getting Tickets

Tickets to the Markham Fair are available online and at the gates.

General admission is $25 for people aged 12-64, $20 for 65 and up and kids aged five-12 are $15. Children four and under can attend for free.

Special ticket offers are also available online under the tickets tab. Several adult presale day discounts are valid until Sunday, September 25 at midnight, like general admission for $20.

General admission does not include tickets to Midway rides, which are sold separately. Each ride requires four-to-eight tickets unless you get a ride-all-day pass, which gives you access to unlimited rides.
