Looking for a hands-on way to keep curious kids busy this March Break? The Ontario Science Centre is bringing science-inspired fun to families across Ontario with special March Break programming, including activities at Harbourfront Centre and pop-up experiences at the Toronto Zoo and the London Children’s Museum.
From March 14–22, families can explore the interactive KidSpark space at Harbourfront Centre in Toronto. Designed for children 10 and under, KidSpark offers imaginative play areas and hands-on activities that encourage kids to learn through exploration.
Explore KidSpark at Harbourfront Centre
Kids can step into a world of pretend play and discovery in this interactive environment created just for young learners.
Inside KidSpark, children can:
- Fill up a cart at a pretend supermarket
- Care for animals at a stuffed animal veterinary clinic
- Head out on a fishing adventure
- Explore creative science-inspired play zones
During March Break week, visitors can also take part in special wildlife-themed activities inspired by Ontario’s biodiversity.

Science Centre Pop-Ups at the Toronto Zoo
Science Centre educators will also host interactive “March Break Moon Mission” pop-up activities at the Toronto Zoo during March Break.
Dates: March 16, 18 & 20
Time: 10 am – 3 pm
Visitors can explore three interactive stations throughout the Zoo’s pavilions. At each stop, participants solve lunar-themed challenges and collect codes needed to unlock a mystery safe and discover what’s inside.
These activities are included with regular Zoo admission.
Science Centre Activities at London Children’s Museum
Families visiting the London Children’s Museum can also enjoy special programming presented by the Ontario Science Centre during March Break.
Discover the Science Behind Animal Camouflage
Dates: March 19–20, 2026
Times: 9:30 am – 4:30 pm
This interactive activity explores how animals use camouflage and patterns in nature to hide, hunt, and survive. Visitors can learn about real-world examples of camouflage and then take part in a creative activity by contributing to a giant pollinator garden filled with paper butterflies, bees, birds, and insects.
The activity is included with regular admission to the London Children’s Museum.
