Shake off the frost and join us for Room for Play, where our interactive baby and toddler programs — like Friday Playdate and Songs of the Seasons — are warming up our Studio Theatre!

It’s the perfect soft and cozy space for little ones and their grownups to gather, explore, and get moving. Room For Play at YPT offers immersive play-based adventures designed to ignite imagination and interactions between you and your little ones (ages 11 months to 5 years).

Soft surfaces, sensory-friendly toys, and live music just for YPT’s very youngest audiences! Our Studio Theatre is transformed into a cozy playspace featuring 30-minute song circles that fuse music, drama, and play, led by guest artist-educators: Pete Moss and Songs with Nash.

Ages 11 months – 5 years

Get your little ones moving and grooving in this interactive concert inspired by the sights, sounds, and rhythms of the seasons. Through a mix of musical styles and sensory play, young children are introduced to the meaningful lessons nature has to offer— such as gratitude and patience — all at a pace just right for early learners. Created and performed by Ms Aria and Ms Saira.

Ages 2 – 5 years
Select Mondays at 10 am
March 2, 9, 13 & 23, 2026

Introduce your little ones to live storytelling in a space and at a pace designed just for them! From folk tales to fairy tales, and stories of adventure and belonging, these sessions will spark curiosity and wonder in early learners, while building active listening, focus, and attention skills. Children and their caregivers will have the opportunity to connect with each other and experience the magic of interactive storytelling.
Upcoming sessions will be led by Sally Jaeger and Mariella Bertelli.
