There are hundreds of picture books for the Holidays – but only a few that have a Canadian twist! View a few fun favourites in this round-up. Add one to your storytime library to get the kids in the mood for the festive day! (Not that they usually need much help!)

Kwanzaa Storytime and Book Launch

Join award-winning author Yolanda T. Marshall and visual Artist Jamie Ellis Pasquale for the launch of their picture book, “My Kwanzaa Wish.” Enjoy an interactive Storytime of this poetically written children’s book that celebrates the core principles of the holiday with warmth, positivity, and upliftment. The event also includes educational conversations about Kwanzaa.

Fay and Fluffy’s Storytime

They’re back! Join ultra-magical Fay Slift and Fluffy Soufflé in a wholesome and comfy story time, because reading is fundamental. Drag stars Fay Slift and Fluffy Soufflé have been doing drag story times across Toronto and beyond since 2016. Through a supportive and inclusive environment focused on fun, culturally diverse books, songs and lots of laughs, Fay and Fluffy welcome everyone to enjoy storytime together.

Family Time at Mt Pleasant Village Library, Brampton

Family Time (Birth to 6 years): Engage in a variety of play and learning activities to support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 1.30pm to 3.30pm. And on Fridays between 10.30am to 12.30pm.
