Ice skating amid the bright lights of Downtown Yonge is back again this winter, as the Barbara Ann Scott Ice Trail opens at College Park on December 6, 2025.
Don’t miss the opening day Ice Trail Celebration! Featuring free skate lending (while supplies last), live music, festive photo ops, fire pits, and s’mores by the rink – plus fun activities for all ages! The celebration will take place on December 6 from 2pm to 6pm.Â
The Barbara Ann Scott Trail, is a five-metre-wide, oval-shaped loop, is open for leisure skating, Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm each day (from December 6).
Did you know?Â
- The trail is named after the Canadian figure skater, who won gold in the 1948 Olympic Games!Â
- The trail, designed to be a walking loop in summer, is the first exterior skating path in North America to incorporate state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly, carbon dioxide technology in its refrigeration system.Â
The skate trail will be open until March (weather permitting). Visit the Downtown Yonge website for more info.
