Brampton, ON – The 9th Annual Festival of Lights returns in full force to Shoppers World Brampton on Saturday, October 19 and Sunday, October 20, 2024. Presented by OLG, this year’s celebration will light up Brampton with a spectacular lineup of Bollywood and Punjabi musical performances, exciting workshops, and vibrant cultural experiences — all with free admission for the community.

Star-Studded Performances
This year’s Festival of Lights promises show-stopping headliners:
• October 19 Headliner: Shivangi Bhayana – Renowned Bollywood singer from Mumbai, India, known for hits like “Mein Hoon Saath Tere” from Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana, “Kudiye Ni Tere” from Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi, “Chicken Dance” from Love Per Square Foot, and many more.
• October 20 Headliner: Deep Jandu – Popular Punjabi urban pop rapper and singer, known for blockbusters like “Aa Tenu Saer Karawan”, which has garnered millions of views. His latest hit, “Whatever”, released on September 26, is already trending on Spotify and has over 1.5 million views on YouTube.
In addition to these incredible stars, the event features a showcase of local talent including:
• Jadoo Entertainment
• Nick Pandya, founder of the famous “Dandiya with Pandya”
• Classical Indian dance performances from the renowned Shivanjali Dance Academy
• Punjabi folk queen Vandy Kaur
• Bhangra by Nachdi Jawani, Guinness World Record holders

Fun for All:
The festival also boasts a wide array of interactive activities and workshops:
• For the first time at the festival, Nintendo is inviting kids and families to visit Mario and friends and embark on a festive quest featuring riddle solving and game sampling on the Nintendo Switch system located in the Kids Zone!
• Raman the Illusionist will dazzle audiences with a magic show.
• Diwali “Diya” and “Rangoli” workshops led by famed muralist Aparna Rangnekar.

Cultural Experiences & More
Attendees can enjoy:
• Free face painting, balloon twisting, and art stations.
• Workshops and giveaways throughout the weekend.
• Food, shopping, henna, and much more, making this festival a true cultural extravaganza.
