Pick-Your-Own Berry Farms in and around the GTA
The month of June brings us the beginning of strawberry picking season! This year Ontario Strawberries will be at their peak from mid to late June and throughout July. Find a local farm and make a day of it with the kids. Andrew’s Scenic Acres is a working farm that offers pick-your-own berries, flowers, pumpkins & more through the season, plus an onsite bakery and winery. While strawberry picking baskets are available for purchase, visitors are encouraged to bring their own baskets and bags.Â
Applewood Farm

Open seven days a week during Strawberry picking season. Applewood farm offers seasonal PYO, wagon rides, sunflower fields, pumpkin picking (Fall), a corn maze (Fall), children’s play area, and more.

Forsythe Family Farms

This working farm has plenty for families to do. If you visit them for PYO strawberries in June/July be sure to purchase tickets to Farm ‘n’ Fun which includes farm animals, playground, walking trails, scavenger hunts, and more, plus on weekends families can enjoy wagon rides.
Linton’s Farm Market

U-Pick strawberries, plus a large farm market, a kid’s play area, and seasonal events. Strawberries are sold by the container, their is no admission fee at this location, but a container must be purchased before entering.
Barrie Hill Farms

Barrie Hill Farms offers over 25 acres of strawberries. The farm grows 3 varieties of strawberries –Annapolis, Jewel, and Albion. Strawberries are charged by weight, bring your own basket or purchase one onsite.
Downey’s Farm Market & Winery

While not a PYO farm, we just couldn’t leave Downey’s Farm out! This fourth generation farm in Caledon, offers fresh farmed fruits and vegetables in their shop, plus a huge children’s play area, wagon rides and more. Pick up your strawberries in the store as you leave! Don’t miss their annual Canada Day Strawberry Festival on July 1st!

Pingels farm market is only open now in September and October for pick you own apples and pumpkins.
