This year’s festival brings together an exciting lineup of professional artists and companies, featuring award-winning comedy, high-energy music, original regional stories, contemporary dance, and one of Canada’s most acclaimed adventure-comedy theatre companies. The Featured Series at Barrie Theatre Festival will include two comedies with SwordPlay: A Play of Swords by Sex T-Rex, and Milk Milk Lemonade by Mallowmarsh Productions. The Spotlight Series will include the absurd satire Village Idiots by Ben Anderson, pop culture musical You, Me, and the Big Screen performed by Danny Cannis, historical play There Are Enemies by Michael Whyte, and the dance piece How Do You Live? by Simcoe Contemporary Dancers.
